Their product consists of aiding financial sector companies understand both short and long term risk exposure, as well as pricing, allowing them to make assured decisions across all aspects of business. My client are seeking an individual to join their Econometric based product, using a broad spectrum of analytical and quantitative methods to benefit their company looking forward. Your role will consist of both designing and calibrating existing as well as future solutions systems that the business offers, with the view of enhancing the product. As an intermediary between the insurance and capital markets this role offers scope for highly able individuals that boast a mathematics based background the opportunity to develop experience within the financial sector. The key emphasis of this role will see you transferring existing knowledge of statistical and econometric tools into the financial market spectrum. Suitable candidates will demonstrate the following: - High Profile academic background, with MSc or PhD highly looked upon, ideal subjects will include economics, econometrics and mathematics based disciplines
- Advanced Econometrics background
- Experience of mathematical / statistical tools
- Excellent communication skills, to enable you to transfer knowledge both on to technical and non-technical audiences
- Commercial acumen to understand the key quantitative needs of Risk Managers, Portfolio Managers across financial products (derivatives, fixed income, equities etc).
