 Data Analyst Location: Edinburgh Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 Keywords: SQL, VBA, data migration, data extraction, SAS My Client is a leading financial services player based in Scotland and is currently looking for a Data Analyst to join their team. This position sits between the Quant Modelling and Technology teams. Within this role you will be responsible for a broad range of data engagements such as data sourcing, data extraction, data quality, data management and data validation. As well as providing ad-hoc data analysis there will also be a need to interact with 3rd party data vendors and providing support to internal projects and developments. As well as having an enthusiasm to work within a team environment you will also display the following skills: - Previous experience within a data environment as an analyst. Candidates with prior experience within the financial markets would be particularly highly regarded.
- Exposure to and experience with a broad range of data engagements (Data quality, data analysis, data governance, data validation, data architecture, data management)
- An excellent grasp and practical use of SQL Server, Excel (VBA), Microsoft Office
- A good degree in a numerical discipline (Mathematics, Computer Science) from a good university.
